Hiking at Murphy-Hanrehan today saw a wonderful array of songbirds, waterbirds and raptors including
chickadees nuthatches cardinals cedar waxwings tree swallows belted kingfisher turkey vultures merlins or sharp-shinned hawks mallard ducks canada geese cormorant lovely pair of hooded mergansers Also noteworthy, saw a good-sized Blanding's turtle--distinctive yellow chin and throat.
