Greetings, I've been asked to post the following urgent request for up to 3 birding guides for an outing this Saturday, April 30th. Wings Over Alma (Wisconsin) is organizing a birding outing by mini-train into the Tiffany Bottoms State Wildlife Area which is located in the extensive lowland forests of the Chippewa River between Durand, WI and Wabasha, MN. Guides are not responsible for logistics... they only have to show up at the meeting location south of Durand (1 hour, 20 minutes from Twin Cities), ride the train, and help group participants find and identify birds. Guides will be reimbursed $50. If interested in guiding, you are asked to contact Kathy Goodman directly at: [email protected]
More information: This outing allows the rare opportunity to reach otherwise difficult to access parts of this huge natural area - the largest floodplain forest in the Midwest. I guided this event last year and will be doing another one later this spring, and I can attest to how unique and fun of an opportunity it is to guide these trips! In past years, between 75-110 bird species have been recorded on single day outings.
