On the way home this evening, I pulled along the roadside (CR 9) just south of
the Avon exit from I-94, to take a couple of quick shots of a green heron.  I
LOVE green herons - they're such an interesting bird with cool hunting
techniques.  I was so absorbed with the heron I almost missed my FOY SOLITARY
SANDPIPER in the same spot.

At the Upper Spunk Lake County Park (about 1.5 miles south of I-94 on CR 9)
there were over 50 yellow-rumped warblers flitting around, and an osprey
hunting
in the area.

Don't ya just love spring?
