Just wanted to let you know that we're hosting a FREE gui Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that we're hosting a FREE guided bird tour at Sherburne NWR on Saturday, May 7 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Meeting site is the Blue Hill Trail parking lot on CR 9, just a mile west of refuge headquarters. Depending on time and weather, the group may also hike Mahnomen Trail or drive the Prairie's Edge Wildlife Drive.
Bald eagle, waterfowl, cranes, sparrows, warblers, etc. are present. The group will look for the common moorhens (hard to see!), as well as other surprises! The HQ and office will also be open Saturday May 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a Friends of Sherburne event. http://www.fws.gov/midwest/sherburne for more information.
