Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge
Bloomington Visitor Center
Hill side trail
6:00 am - 10:00 am

While leading a walk for the refuge this morning, our group observed 23 species 
of Warblers along the upper and lower trails accessed from the Visitor Center 
Parking lot.  The visitor center is located on American Blvd. E., about two 
blocks East of 34th Ave. S.  

Here are some of the species observed by the group.

Common Nighthawk - observed roosting in a tree.
Pileated Woodpecker
Least Flycatcher - numerous
Great-crested Flycatcher
Yellow-throated Vireo
Blue-headed Vireo
Warbling Vireo - Heard only
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Gray-cheeked Thrush
Swainson's Thrush
Blue-winged Warbler
Golden-winged Warbler
Tennessee Warbler
Orange-crowned Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Northern Parula 
Yellow Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler
Palm Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
