I have been watching a Scarlet Tanager eating at the orange halves at our feeders this morning. Along side the usual suspects (orioles), there have been Pine Siskins, a male Indigo Bunting and the continued presence of the Red Breasted Nuthatch that I would have thought would have left for the north by now. This cold rain must make insect prey scarce.
