I did not see the bird reported, but it looks like a place that a wayward thrasher might hang out. Lots of singing Catbird, Orioles, and Cardinals, but no Thrasher.
This location is 5 minutes from my office so I ran over for 1/2 hour. The only place you can legally park is a road (Orchard Hill) that is to north of the off leash dog park - you need a permit to park in the dog park lot Terry Brashear Hennepin County, MN http://www.naturepixels.com birdnird AT yahoo.com --- On Fri, 5/20/11, Ben Harste <[email protected]> wrote: From: Ben Harste <[email protected]> Subject: [mou-net] eBird Report To: [email protected] Date: Friday, May 20, 2011, 7:41 AM I haven't seen it reported on MOU so I wanted to inform everyone that I read an eBird sighting (by somebody else) of a Curve-billed Thrasher at Bryant Lake Park in Eden Prairie. Now with eBird reports for Rare birds such as this they can be put on a checklist without confirmation, so it isn't for sure that this Thrasher is actually there, but I thought I would inform people if they are interested in birding there. This was the location associated with the sighting. http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=44.8887114,-93.4336621&ll=44.8887114,-93.4336621 Ben Harste Bloomington, MN ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
