As I walked out this morning, I spotted a Northern Goshawk in the top of a dead aspen tree overlooking my vegetable garden. Watching the bird, after retrieving my binoculars, a hummingbird flew into the range of vision, made a few passes around the goshawk and then flew off. Not exactly "mobbing," but the hummer was clearly expressing its displeasure. The hawk seemed unconcerned --- I suppose there is little likelihood that the hawk could catch a hummingbird, and such a tiny bite would scarcely be worthwhile anyway.
