While walking towards the canoe landing dock at Minnehaha Creek, in Jidana Park, City of Minnetonka, a Least Bittern flew past me and then landed in nearby cattails, downstream, at 3:30 pm. It did not call. To get to Jidana Park from I 494; exit onto Minnetonka Blvd. (Henn. Co Rd 5) and travel westbound about 1 mile; turn right and travel north on Jidana Ln., about 1/4 mile and park in the lot; pass through the gate on the gravel road to the north, walk about 1/4 mile; veer left onto the short trail to the canoe landing.
