Hi All-- Last Friday Erika and I tried to bird along the Cannon River in Carleton College's lower Arb. We we quickly turned back by flood waters, but not before seeing an exquisite Ebony Jewelwing (a damselfly). We then walked along the ponds below the main college campus. We kicked up a male Orchard Oriole, one of only about a half dozen I have seen in the county during the last several years. Both sightings (bird and dragonfly) are on my blog: http://dantallmansbirdblog.blogspot.com
