I saw a common goldeneye yesterday, next to the levee trail that goes west from Lock and Dam #2 at Hastings (across the levee from the north end of Lake Rebecca). This one had normal male plumage and looked cleaner than the pictures posted from Bloomington. It was preening, diving, swimming and generally looking healthy.
