Suffering from warbler deprivation, headed into northern Mille Lacs County this morning.
With Kathio still closed (didn't they work that budget out), drove the lake front, around Kathio, Wieland Road and the northern WMA. Only found nine species of warbler, but good looks at a Canada along Wieland - which has to be very near the southern edge of it's MN breeding range - kept me from withdrawal. For butterfly fans, the WMA road has hundreds. Good mid-summer birding to all.
