Went to Purgatory Creek in Eden Prairie today and although the muddy sandbar
still isn't exposed in the middle of the lake, the lake is getting shallow
enough that there were around 20 Ring-billed Gulls standing on it in the
water today. So if we go a little while longer without rain in the Twin
Cities the lake may drop enough to be good habitat to easily see shorebirds
again.

Also, for fall warblers, my favorite place to go in the fall have been Old
Cedar Ave/Bass Ponds. I have also had success on the trail along Minnehaha
Creek in Minneapolis last fall.
Another possible good place that I am going to try to check out more this
fall is the Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve in Savage. I went for a brief look
there once mid-August last year, only had one warbler, but it was a male
Canada Warbler.
