Slowly migrants continue to make their way into the area. On Wednesday there
were 5 Tennessee Warbler at Carver Park including a male still in breeding
plumage. While there weren't any migrants on Thursday, there were 2
Black-crowned Night-Heron in the marsh on the north side of hwy. 5 just east of
Waconia. I last saw a Night-Heron in the county in 2009. Saturday I did not
find any migrants at Rapids Lake, but I did see a Forster's Tern in Chaska.
Today there were 2 Black and White Warbler, 2 Wilson's Warbler, and a
Bay-breasted Warbler at Carver Park.
