Today and during the past two days, I have seen 19 species of
warbler along Sucker Lake Rd. East from Vadnais Blvd. to County Rd. F
(the road between the lakes). In addition to the warblers, I have seen
four species of Vireo in good numbers, Olive-sided Flycatcher,
Yellow-bellied, Willow, and Least Flycatchers as well as about 20
identified empids, Veery, Ring-necked Duck, Caspian and Forster's Terns,
and White Pelicans.
The warblers were:
Northern Waterthrush -1
Golden-winged Warbler -1 female
Black & White Warbler -1
Tennessee Warbler - 30+
Nashville Warbler - 10+
Connecticut Warbler -2
Mourning Warbler -2
Common Yellowthroat - 6
American Redstart - 20+
Blackburnian Warbler -2 (immature male and female)
Yellow Warbler - 30+
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 4 immatures
Black-throated Green Warbler -1 female
Canada Warbler -4 (1 female, 3 immatures)
Wilson's Warbler- 3 males
Ovenbird -1
Orange-crowned Warbler -1
Magnolia Warbler -5
Palm Warbler - 6
