Tonight there were over 90 swifts foraging above the parking area of
Nova Classical Academy on Osceola Ave. in St. Paul. Between 8 and 8:25
PM they somehow all managed to jockey themselves into the school
chimney for a night's rest, many of them making repeated feints at
entry before finding an open spot. I wonder how many degrees warmer
than 82 it got in there, when all those little feathered bodies
huddled together.
