I started my day-off today by relaxing along Park Point, taking a nice
walk, and doing a little birdwatching. During the 1 1/2 hours I spent
at Park Point, I observed 2 Sharp-shinned Hawks and 3 American
Kestrels (one Shin decided to stoop on a Northern Flicker)!

Common Merganser 1
Double-crested Cormorant 1
Sharp-shinned Hawk 2
American Kestrel 3
Ruddy Turnstone 2
Sanderling 9
Least Sandpiper 1
Ring-billed Gull 15
Rock Pigeon 1

I visited Hawk Ridge for a few hours today. They had over 2,100 raptors
(total) today! I have never seen so many Sharp-shinned Hawks in my life :-)
The hawk counters tallied 1,859 Sharp-shinned Hawks today!

Good birding,
