Hello birders,
In the last two days in central Dakota County I have seen:

Black-bellied plover - plowed field on Biscayne Ave. just North of 160th.
There yesterday evening. Gone this afternoon. This female was much
larger than the Killdeer it shared
the field with.

Sandhill Cranes - Pair near brush pile at edge of field at least 100 yds
from the road in a recently harvested field on 200th just E. of Biscayne

Northern Harrier - juvenile over uncut field off 200th.

Common Nighthawks - several migrants over uncut fields off 200th

Cedar waxwings -several in treetops

Killdeer - numerous in plowed fields

Horned Larks -in plowed fields

Robins -several in treetops -this is where to find them this time of year

Mourning doves - Well over 200. They are all over in big bunches, little
bunches and single birds

--
Sincerely,

Jim Ryan
