Hi All-- Erika and I recently "discovered" Valley Grove Church on the north boundary of Big Woods State Park in Rice Co. A restoration group has converted the surrounding farmland back to prairie. I do not know if folks are aware of this area as it is seldom mentioned in bird posts. The prairie is open to the public and is definitely worth checking out if you are birding in Rice County! On Saturday I listed my first American Woodcock in Rice Co.
