Hi All-- I drove by the Rice Co. Whooping Crane site the other day--no cranes, but a handsome Bald Eagle atop a muskrat den. As you can see in the photos posted on my blog, the eagle was consuming a Mallard. I do not know, however, if the eagle made the kill or if it was scavenging.
