This is not stunning news, but as I was driving to town (Hackensack) today I observed a Black-Billed Magpie fleeing the scene of the crime, as I passed a luckless deer carcass on the shoulder of the road. I am just starting my 2nd year here in Cass County and that was not only my first Magpie in Cass County, but my first seen in Mn. So a noteworthy day for me. Bruce Marzinske
