Hi All,

Our crane tours are proving to be hugely popular!  Both tours for this
Saturday, October 15 are full, but we still have room for both 6:30 and 9:00 on
the 22nd.  I'm also working on a crane viewing map that we'll make available on
our web site and to visitors who stop by.  Our first fall crane count last week
showed over 3500 birds, and we expect the numbers to climb for the next couple
of weeks.

The zonotrichia sparrows are making a nice showing outside my office window,
especially white-throated.  There were 17 birds on the ground a few minutes
ago.  Add in a few fox, song, Lincoln's and chipping and it's quite a "brown"
convention going on out there!
