There are still spots available to head to the Pacific Northwest this winter (temperatures in the 50s!) and view many western bird species and species that breed in the Arctic that go further south during the winter. Many alcids, gull and waterfowl species, as well as a number of west coast or northwestern specialties. Birds you might see include Red-throated loon, White-winged scoter, Black scoter, Surf scoter, Rhinoceros Auklet, Ancient Murrelet, Wandering Tattler, Chestnut-backed chickadee, Wrentit, and Hutton's vireo (plus many more).
