An adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was on Lake Calhoun at dusk on Saturday,
among the Herring and RB gulls packing a floating dock in the SW corner of
the lake. That has been a good place to study gulls, even when the winds
are not propitious and the other roosting gulls are far out on the lake.
There was also an apparent first-winter Thayer's Gull, but I'd like
confirmation.
