I arrived at Canal Park a little after sunrise this morning. There were many Herring Gulls and Ring-billed Gulls perched along the sides of the walkway. Non-gulls included a distant, sunrise-silhouetted HORNED GREBE (due east of Canal Park), and 5 Mallards.
