A Northern Hawk-Owl was relocated this morning, January 4, at Gooseberry Falls State Park in Lake County. (Photo on MOU's Showcase page.) It was along the park entrance road near the main parking lot for the visitors center. This is undoubtedly the same individual found last week by others ~1.5 miles NE of here along MN Hwy 61.

Given its current location frequented by state park staff, this owl should be reasonably safe from undue disturbance. To my knowledge, this is only the second N Hawk Owl reported anywhere in Minnesota this season.
