Touch of spring in Mille Lacs County the last two days:

* Nate (my son) had a Yellow-rumped Warbler on private property in Princeton
yesterday

* Flock of 26 robins flew over at Kunkel Wildlife this morning

* Strangely enough, may have had a snipe or woodcock at Kunkel as well. Fly
away look was not definitive - and a female pheasant is much more likely - but
the tippy, chunky shorebird flight (only briefly seen) has me wondering. For
now, I'm presuming pheasant.

Good birding to all.
