I was just outside filling my feeders for the third time today and had a flock of waxwings fly over. They landed in a flowering crabapple about a block to the east of me. I walked over with my binoculars and estimated there were about 80 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS, 40 CEDAR WAXWINGS and 40 to 50 STARLINGS. Because of the snow, there a lot more birds at the feeders today: at least 150 COMMON REDPOLLS, 6 PINE SISKINS, 2 CARDINALS, 8 BLUE JAYS, 2 RED-BELLIED WOODPECKERS, ETC. Warren Nelson
