This morning there were a dozen mourning doves feeding in a yard in the community of Santiago, northwest of Sherburne NWR. Along Sherburne CR 3, there was a single red-winged blackbird sitting on a shrub, singing, and generally acting like he was on territory. Bring it on! Betsy Beneke Sherburne NWR
