Hi, birders: Late this afternoon there was a single (and early) Baird's Sandpiper at the Sleepy Eye WTP's. It was foraging on a chunk of ice/matted vegetation along the shoreline. Other than the Baird's Sandpiper, there wasn't much else birdwise. I can't help but think that this unseasonably warm weather could bring more shorebirds our way soon.
