I just heard back from Heidi Pinkerton, the photographer who found the
Purple Sandpiper on March 17, and she said the location was at the
"beach" at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park in Lake Co. I assume this
site is accessed from one of the trails leading from the visitors
center. With permission, I have posted her image of the bird on the
MOU's Recently Seen page (http://moumn.org/cgi-bin/recent.pl).
