Peder Svingen found a BARROW'S GOLDENEYE near the Duluth Rowing Club in the Lake Superior harbor on the 22nd. This is likely the same bird that was first found here back on November 19th. On the 23rd, Jason Bolish reported a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD at the Rothsay WMA in Wilkin County. From the town of Rothsay, go west on County Road 26 for about six miles to highway 15. Turn north and go two miles to 190th Street. Turn right and go about two and a half miles to the curve in the road and check here. Karen Kalin-Horge had a VARIED THRUSH visit her yard in Halstad, Norman County on March 17th. Recent spring arrivals now include GREAT EGRET, PIED-BILLED GREBE, OSPREY, SHORT-EARED OWL, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, SWAMP SPARROW, and VESPER SPARROW.
