This is the Minnesota Birding Report for March 29th, 2012.

Peder Svingen found a BARROW'S GOLDENEYE near the Duluth Rowing Club in
the Lake Superior harbor on the 22nd. This is likely the same bird that
was first found here back on November 19th.

On the 23rd, Jason Bolish reported a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD at the Rothsay
WMA in Wilkin County. From the town of Rothsay, go west on County Road
26 for about six miles to highway 15. Turn north and go two miles to
190th Street. Turn right and go about two and a half miles to the curve
in the road and check here.

Karen Kalin-Horge had a VARIED THRUSH visit her yard in Halstad, Norman
County on March 17th.

Recent spring arrivals now include GREAT EGRET, PIED-BILLED GREBE,
OSPREY, SHORT-EARED OWL, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, SWAMP SPARROW, and
VESPER SPARROW.

The next scheduled update of this tape is April 5th, 2012.
