Scott Meyer, Judy Morris-Meyer, Birgit Johnson and I found a *Vesper
Sparrow *in the lawn just north of the playground located in the northwest
part of Veteran's Park around 9:20 am this morning. If we hadn't taken this
extra spur as Scott suggested, we wouldn't have seen this
bird--sparrowdipity! This is the earliest I have seen this species in
Minnesota.

Other interesting birds included lots of Northern Flickers, FOY Eastern
Phoebe, a FOY Yellow-rumped Warbler, and several Fox Sparrows.

Here are a couple links to lousy photos I took--they are so blurry that I
think you can also make out BigFoot.
