Last night I took a short bike ride along the Paul Bunyan Trail south of
Pequot Lakes in the hopes of adding AMERICAN WOODCOCK to my years "Green
Birding List" - before getting to the spot I was certain they would be
displaying a GREAT HORNED OWL flew over the trail and onto a power pole
where it remained until I continued along the trail. From the power pole
the owl flew out over the Pequot WTP Fields and perched on the irrigation
system. The woodcocks came in a close second place for sighting of the day!
