There was a eurasian collared dove on top of a utility pole in the back yard of
1313 Loring Ave. this afternoon. It was also visible to a lesser extent from
Corbett Rd. The house is two south of the river on the west side. It is made
of stone and has no address posted. The bird was on the pole for at least 20
minutes when I last saw it. There was a wilson's snipe in the river on the
intersection of 8th St. SE and 13th Ave this morning. Not an incredible bird,
but two more for my growing list of species within my home city's "limits".
Also first of year hermit thrush in town today.
