Had some new birds in Douglas County yesterday and today. Yesterday Lake
Osakis had Red-Necked Grebes and today they were joined by Horned Grebes
and a handful of Western Grebes. I'm not sure whether they came in on
yesterday's south winds or today's westerly winds. Had a Raven for the 4th
weekend in a row. This morning I heard a Veery singing. There are many more
Tree Swallows but I have yet to see a Barn. I've only had one Fox Sparrow,
one RCKinglet, NO Yellow Rumps. There are still many Juncos and a few Tree
Sparrows around. John Ellis- St. Paul
