Terry's post reminded me to share my turkey experience. Sunday I was grocery shopping at the Quarry in Northeast Minneapolis. I noticed four or five turkeys in the vegetation strip between the parking lot and the highway. I pulled up to the curb to get a better look at the birds, but still was a good ways away from them. The Tom immediately trotted toward my car, ran around the car to the driver's side - that was the funniest part - and started striking the window. When he tired of that, he pecked at my two front tires (I think - I didn't dare stick my head out the window!). When he moved away from the car, I tried to back up to get out of there, but every time I tried to move he attacked the car. Laying on the horn didn't faze him one bit.

I missed it, but will see it eventually. What a great yard bird! ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
