I was able to relocate the Surf Scoter that Dedrick Benz found yesterday at Prairie Island in Winona. I located the bird close to the WI side of the river. I viewed the scoter from the spillway dike. The bird was associating with a group of Buffleheads. I watched the Surf Scoter from 11:10 - 11:40 am. It was fun to see this bird in full breeding plumage.
