I number of people have asked if anyone has been seeing any yellow-headed blackbirds. We stopped at the 180th St. marsh today and I counted 4, all males. (Haven't seen any for at least 2 years, so it was a great find for us!) There may have been more than 4; one was very close to the road, the other 3 were farther away so there could even be more. We heard a number of soras but otherwise, not a lot around. The water is very high there following the recent heavy rains.
