I had the chance to bird Aitkin County several times in the winter, and went
along
County Road 18. I'll be going a few times over the summer, and am wondering if
that's still a good option for summer birds, and also where McGregor Marsh is
exactly, as I've heard that is good. For a day trip, I'm thinking of going to
County
Road 18 and checking out that marsh, and then perhaps going to Rice Lake
Refuge - are all of these viable spots to bird in the summer? I've also heard
Kathio
is good, but obviously would not cover all these areas at the same time; Kathio
alone would be a good trip for a day.

Hoping to go up next Monday, my regular day off.

Thanks for any tips!
Fr. Paul
