While birding with some buddies this evening at Bass Ponds, we heard the
unmistakable calls of yellow-headed blackbirds. Bushwhacked our way down to
the edge of Longmeadow Lake and got a great look at at least one of them
flying, then perched in the marsh, definitely heard another nearby. Saw the
white patches in the wings as the one flew. It was being harassed by a
red-winged blackbird.

We were on the path between the ponds and the lake - take a right after
going straight from the long driveway at the entrance - and they were
somewhere past that first small water hole encrusted with algae - maybe
around the midpoint of the next pond? I'm sorry I can't pinpoint the
location better than that, was too excited to notice.
