That's a good guess, but it was actually in a sumac/honeysuckle thicket at approximately the location of the green arrow marker here: http://goo.gl/maps/evFK (assuming I read the satellite view correctly). There's a easy-to-overlook side path that goes down a little gully and then up to the top of a grassy hill. There were also several singing Vesper and Clay-colored sparrows up there (and about 25 brown thrashers, or so it seemed).
