At approximately 1:00 PM today (6/12/12) two of us got a good face on view of a Barn Owl in a tree along the Long Meadow Lake Trail in the Minnesota Valley Wildlife Refuge. The owl was in the crown of a tree on the west side of the trail about 1.5 trail miles from the visitor center, about a quater mile south of the River Viewpoint as indicated on the refuge trail map.
