I only had a few emails but the one I got the most responses for was a Field Sparrow with a "strange" song, different from its normal song. This makes the most sense to me as the song has the same tone quality as a normal Field Sparrow song and there are lots of Field Sparrows throughout Hyland in the summer. I plan on going back to the area soon to see if I can find the bird and will let people know if I find it is something other than a Field Sparrow.
Thank you to everybody for the responses. Ben Harste Bloomington, MN ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
