This past week has been a busy one for me, and I'm really excited to share
the fun sightings and photos from my travels. First off, the Birds and
Beers in the cities two nights ago was a blast! It's always fun to enjoy
good company and have a nice dinner & brewskies with fellow bird nerds.
While I was down in the Twin Cities, I made a stop at the Raptor Center in
St. Paul, and got to catch up with good friends and see how the birds were
doing at the center. This first gallery is from the night of Birds and
Beers, plus additional photos from the Raptor Center! Within this link,
I've included some websites that might be of interest if you'd like to
learn more about Birds and Beers, as well as the Raptor Center. I hope you
enjoy the photos!

Over the past week, I've had a lot of fun showing groups of birders around
Sax-Zim, and just recently got to finish up going through many of the
photos. Three days ago I went out to Sax-Zim Bog on my own in the early
morning to scout around and look for the boreal birds of Sax-Zim Bog. It
was a super exciting morning, as I was treated to not only a Great Gray
Owl, but Connecticut Warblers singing over my head simultaneously!

My past four visits at Sax-Zim Bog (since last weekend) have ranged between
56 to 75 species (Monday's trip was quiet and windy). The eBird list below
is from when I was out on my own. Highlights from that morning include
Great Gray Owl, Boreal Chickadee, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, Olive-sided
Flycatcher, Connecticut Warbler and more!

My photos from the past week's birding ventures are found in the gallery
below. The last 62 photos within this gallery are new from the recent week.
