At 9:45 am today Bill Litkey spotted one of the two reported Common Gallinules
on the east 180th St. pond.

We were looking north from the road to the closest grassy area in the pond,
east of the small hill and pull-out. The bird was foraging in front of the
shore, swimming into the grass, and coming out in the open a number of times
for great looks with binoculars and scope. It took close to an hour of
searching, but was worth it!
