Friends of Sax-Zim Bog is sponsoring an end-of-season birding trip to catch the last hurrah for our magnificent and unique breeding birds! SATURDAY JULY 7th 6am to Noon (Meet at Wilbert Cafe parking lot (Cotton, MN) and prepare to carpool/caravan...Please be there by 5:45am) FREE for FOSZB members (those that have donated $20 or more in donations, sponsorships, or event entry fees) $20 (for non-FOSZB members) PLEASE RSVP by emailing executive director Sparky at [email protected] OR Erik Bruhnke at [email protected] Friend of FOSZB bird guide, Erik Bruhnke will lead the car caravan to some of Sax-Zim's hottest spots...Should still be singing LeConte's Sparrow (photo below), Sedge Wrens, various warblers including Connecticut, and maybe, just maybe a hunting Great Gray Owl (no promises!). We also will look for Magpies, grouse and Dickcissels (an irruption this year). Erik will also point out the sites for the future Sax-Zim Bog Welcome Center. BYOB... Bring your own bug dope!
