Mark Junghans & I journeyed to Aitkin County today, working on county & year
birds. Highlights:

* Singing Connecticut Warbler on 18's snowmobile trail

* Willet, Stilt Sandpipers, Baird's & other shorebirds on Highway 1 (closer to
sod farm now than 22) & 15 - including many dozens of yellowlegs

* Upland Sandpiper on Mille Lacs 5, across street from 110th; however, did not
find them at Aitkin Airport.

21 butterflies, primarily on the snowmobile trail/bog walk off Aitkin 18. Five
today were lifers (relatively new to butterflying, life list is only in the
'50's, just became serious 2.5 weeks ago).

Good birding to all!
