Both Common Gallinules were visible this morning between 9 and 10am. Swimming with and feeding their chicks which are still very small. There are seven or eight. Seven for sure and maybe I double counted one a couple of times. The red forehead shield is very visible on the young. We thought it might be two females but we could hear the male "tic tic tic". One appeared to be catching very small aquatic animals and sometimes feeding the young... .
