At around noon today, I found a small flock of shorebirds on a wet field on
Alta Ave., on the west side of the road, between 302nd St.W, and Cty 94 (Cannon
River Blvd.) Recent rain has made this field hospitable to shorebirds again.
There is vegetation growing on the mudflat, and most of the shorebirds were
foraging amid the new growth. Hopefully, with new rain predicted tonight and
tomorrow, it might attract other shorebirds. Lake Byllesby is still too high
on the west side of the lake.
